It was a pleasure for Eric Ng, CEO of Happiness Capital, to join the judging panel for the EQT Impact Challenge in Hong Kong last night.

It was a fantastic evening, filled with inspiring ideas and innovative companies working to change the world. The shortlist was exceptionally strong, featuring Advent Gene Therapeutics, C2i Tech, Hydroforge, OKOSIX and OmisHeart.

Every entry was a win for the world, making the judging particularly difficult. Huge congratulations to Advent Gene Therapeutics lead by Professor Bonnie Zhu, whose groundbreaking AI platform for programmable genetic medicines is helping to make therapeutic delivery safer, more targeted and more effective.

By combining evolutionary-scale foundation models, trained on extensive viral sequence and structural datasets, with high-throughput experimental learning, the platform is designing next-generation delivery systems and bringing us closer to a future where genetic medicines can be programmable, scalable and engineered for every patient.
