Last week, we hosted an inspiring Portfolio Week in Tokyo, bringing together nine of our Food and Material Science portfolio companies to engage with leading Japanese corporates and investors. Across two dynamic events, we celebrated cutting-edge technologies, explored new opportunities, and strengthened the bridge between innovation and market potential.

Day 1: Taste the future of foodtech and material science with Happiness
The first event, held at Golden Egg Ventures’ Shibuya office, was co-hosted with Golden Egg Ventures and Shibuya Startup Support. This gathering focused on showcasing breakthrough technologies from our portfolio in foodtech and material science. With an audience of around 50 guests, primarily from leading Japanese corporations, the event was an intimate platform for meaningful conversations and collaborations.
Day 2: Global future of food and material science showcase & tasting event
In partnership with Digital Garage’s Onlab ESG Fund, in our second event we brought together over 100 C-Level executives, investors, government representatives, media, commercial partners, trade associations, and academia from across our Japan community. Held at Digital Garage’s Dragon Gate conference hall, the event provided a platform for our portfolio companies to share their vision, gather insights, and build relationships while enjoying stunning views of Mt. Fuji.
